We love visitors to nursery and doing special things with the children.
This year we have had an Owl Baby workshop, A visit from a travelling zoo, An African Author & Art teacher, A Dentist, Father Christmas, many trips to our favourite cafes Antlers and Cobwebs, trips to High Ash, regular donations to the food bank at the St Nicholas church and had our very own poems published in a special book!!
Our very own mini Abbots Bromley……
Most of our children live in or around Abbots Bromley and we are so fortunate to live in such beautiful surroundings. The children often tell us all about the things they get up at the weekend. During one of our walks we came up with the genius idea of making our very own mini Abbots Bromley with local, familiar landmarks. The children took most of the photographs themselves.
Our mini village is really effective in helping children to develop language and communication skills as well as personal, social skills and positive behaviours.
These are such a great way of encouraging older toddlers and preschoolers to develop story telling skills too, we developed this idea further my making mini me’s and mini staff members and the children take them on different adventures. Our younger children can practice the names of their new friends too.
